so here's my first submission to the world. I'd like you to take a look at "Modern Chorale."
it has a simple, short structure that could easily be expanded into a full-length piece for strings, winds, or full orchestra. I toyed with the orchestration a bit and found that I rather liked the high voices as strings and low voices as low brass. it's presented here as a wind ensemble piece because I think the synthesizer that I use wouldn't be able to do an orchestral transcription the full justice that it deserves.
I tried to make it mirror the style of Percy Aldridge Grainger as much as possible. that was my objective for this piece: "I want to write a chorale that sounds like a Grainger piece." I think I achieved my goal.
